Classification of rubber pads
natural rubber
(Natural Rubber)
It is made of latex collected from rubber tree and is a polymer of isoprene. It has good wear resistance, high elasticity, breaking strength and elongation. It is easy to age in the air and become sticky when heated. It is easy to swell and dissolve in oil or gasoline, and it is resistant to alkali but not strong acid. Advantages: good elasticity, acid and alkali resistance. Disadvantages: Not weather-resistant, not oil-resistant (vegetable oil-resistant) is the raw material for making tapes, hoses, and rubber shoes, and is suitable for making shock-absorbing parts, products used in automotive brake fluid, ethanol and other liquids with hydroxide radicals.
SBR
(Styrene Butadiene Copolymer)
Compared with natural rubber, the copolymer of butadiene and styrene has uniform quality, less foreign matter, better wear resistance and aging resistance, but weaker mechanical strength, and can be used in combination with natural rubber. Advantages: low-cost non-oil-repellent material, good water resistance, good elasticity below 70 hardness, poor compressibility at high hardness, disadvantages: Strong acid, ozone, oil, grease and fat are not recommended. some of the hydrocarbons. Widely used in tire industry, shoe industry, cloth industry and conveyor belt industry.
Butyl rubber
(Butyl Rubber)
It is formed by the polymerization of isobutylene and a small amount of isoprene. Because the movement of the steric barrier molecule of methyl group is less than that of other polymers, it has less gas permeability, high resistance to heat, sunlight and ozone, and good electrical insulation. ; Great resistance to polar solvents, the general operating temperature range is -54-110 ℃. Advantages: Impermeability to most common gases, good resistance to sunlight and odors Can be exposed to animal or vegetable oils or are vaporizable chemicals. Disadvantages: It is not recommended to use it with petroleum solvents, kerosene and aromatic hydrogen. It is used for inner tubes of automobile tires, leather bags, rubber plaster paper, window frame rubber, steam hoses, heat-resistant conveyor belts, etc.
